AGENCY/PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

United Way of Hernando County's Community Investment Funds are strategically invested into local programs and partnerships that address identified community needs and achieve measurable results through HEALTH, EDUCATION, FINANCIAL STABILITY and/or BASIC NEEDS/CRISIS PREVENTION.

In order to qualify for United Way's 2019-2020 Community Investment Grant (CIG), 501c3 organizations must complete United Way's CIG Eligibility Process by logging in online through e-CImpact and following the provided instructions. CLICK HERE

DEADLINE FOR ELIGIBILITY:
Friday, December 7, 2018 - no later than 5:00 PM


General guidelines and criteria include, but are not limited to:

  • The 501(c)3 organization’s program(s) serve Hernando County residents.                                                            

  • The organization must have an all-volunteer Board of Directors (i.e. President/ED is a non-voting member)

  • Funded program(s) will need to provide measurable outcomes and community impact.

  • Programs(s) requesting funding must be operational for at least one full year prior to the CIG Eligibility submission deadline.

  • Awards for duplicated program(s) in Hernando County will be taken into consideration by the CIG Committee.

  • The organization must be listed on 2-1-1 Hernando.

  • The organization must have a budget approved by the Board of Directors annually.

  • The organization’s program(s) must have balanced budget(s) and be financially accountable.

  • The organization’s administrative/fundraising rate cannot exceed 25% in order to be considered.

  • The organization must be able to explain any expanded program(s), if applicable.

  • The organization will partner with United Way, incorporate United Way Branding, and is required to abide by the terms as indicated in the UWHC Affiliation Agreement & USA Patriot Act (found in e-CImpact in the Resource Center > Supporting Documents).

If your organization meets all criteria, you will be contacted and invited to attend the CIG Agency Workshop where an in-depth review of the online grant process through e-CImpact will take place. (Note: the Agency Workshop is mandatory)
