Cinema For A Cause Charity Event Results Announced

Georgia Theatre Company Announces the results of their 12th Annual Cinema for a Cause charity event that raised money for area charity groups in their local communities

St. Simons Island, GA., November 1, 2015 Georgia Theatre Company is proud to announce the results of their 12th Annual Cinema for a Cause event held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at twenty-four of their theatre locations throughout Georgia, including three locations in Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia.

100% of all admission tickets, concession purchases, and extra donation bowl money on Sunday, September 13 went to the event total to be donated to local charity groups chosen by each theatre staff in their markets.

This year’s event raised over $208,800 and to date this unique one day event has allowed Georgia Theatre Company to donate over $1,184,200 to local charity groups over the past twelve years.

Participating theatre(s) in the Brooksville, FL area included Beacon Stadium Cinemas. Recipient charity groups for this market this year were United Way of Hernando County and Building a Foundation with each group to receive one-half of proceeds from event day which totaled $9,971.36.
