“KICK” Start into Early Literacy

United Way Hosts Inaugural Kickball Tournament

Spring Hill, FL – (January 25, 2016)United Way of Hernando County will be hosting their first ever kickball tournament on Saturday, February 20th in support of early literacy and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) program.

All proceeds collected that day will benefit United Way's Imagination Library, which currently supplies over 1,400 Hernando children with a free book every month until the age of five. These books are distributed at no cost to the families, regardless of their economic status. As this popular program continues to grow, so does Hernando’s waiting list and need for funding.

United Way needs your support! Please join us that day in cheering on your favorite community partners from: PUBLIX (GLEN LAKES, AVALON, BROOKSVILLE SQUARE, & SEVEN HILLS), L.R.E. GROUND SERVICES, INC., REGIONS BANK, and WEEKI WACHEE HIGH SCHOOL as they compete to win the Ultimate Kickball Traveling Trophy!
