INVESTS IN UNITED WAY INITIATIVES

Publix Supermarket Charities Presents $167,400 Check

On Friday, May 15th, United Way of Hernando County Board of Directors and staff gathered to thank Publix Mangers and Associates for their confidence in United Way’s community work.  Publix Super Markets Charities, Inc. proudly presented United Way with a $167,400 contribution to be invested in local Health, Education, and Financial Stability partner programs here in Hernando County.

Associates from Hernando’s eight Publix Stores pledged a total of $224,552 to United Way’s Annual Campaign, with Publix Super Market Charities matching an additional 75 cents for every dollar donated. Publix is by far the largest contributor to United Way of Hernando County’s Community Investment Fund!
