Hernando V.I.T.A. Results Exceed Last Year’s Numbers

An enormous thank you to United Way’s V.I.T.A. (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Volunteers for their time and assistance in advancing the common good for low income families and community members. Trained by the IRS, fourteen V.I.T.A. volunteers filed over 735 income tax returns, with a total refund of $801,707.00. That’s over $800,000 back into our community!

Special recognition goes to our Hernando V.I.T.A. Sites:
-Career Central and Mobile Bus
-RSVP
-Spring Hill Library Branch
-East Hernando Library Branch

All V.I.T.A. volunteers and partners proudly support financial stability here in Hernando County.

If being a V.I.T.A Volunteer for the 2014 tax season sparks your interest, please email Adriane Alexander at adriane.e.alexander@irs.gov for details or fill out a Volunteer Hernando Application.
