Special Brew Makes Impact on United Way

Marker 48 Brewing Partners with United Way of Hernando County for “Tap for a Cause”

Spring Hill, FL – (March 1, 2016) Marker 48 Brewing, Hernando County’s newest craft brewery business and popular hot spot, brewed up something spectacular for their first “Tap for a Cause” event. The “Tap for a Cause” initiative focuses on a local nonprofit per month where proceeds from a special brewed beer are donated back to the organization.

Up first... United Way of Hernadno County! For the month of “FeBREWary”, United Way was honored by being selected for this fun give-back proposal. United Way was informed of what the selected beer was made of and came up with the name BREWnited Blossom Ale. 50% from each BREWnited Blossom Ale sale was donated back to United Way, along with 20% of total sales from Marker 48’s Give-Back-Night on February 19th, raising a total of $1,986.

“United Way was amazed by the support received through our partnership with Marker 48,” United Way Executive Director, Angela Bonfardino shared. “It wasn’t just about being selected for this cause, but throughout the month our team enjoyed highlighting just how “giving” this local business is! The owners live here in Hernando County and this is THEIR community, and pride comes along with that,” Bonfardino continued. “So they genuinely wanted to invest in an organization where the dollars remained local. The culture Marker 48 has created is something for the books!”

United Way encourages their supporters to please drink responsibly. For more information on Marker 48 Brewing visit www.Marker48.com .
