What Can Your Dollar Do?

United Way of Hernando County Releases

“Change For Good: Dollar Campaign”

It’s been proven throughout history that communities accomplish more when working together and that true change doesn’t happen alone. That’s exactly why United Way of Hernando County is changing it up. Your local United Way is launching their first ever “Change for Good: Dollar Campaign” this fall. Beginning in November, United Way will be challenging every man, woman, and child here in Hernando County to donate $1.00. That’s only 1 dollar bill, 4 quarters, or even 100 pennies from each community member. With over 180,000 residents living in Hernando, the United Way could raise over $180,000 if every resident did their part and gave just one dollar.

Be ready to “Accept the Challenge” this November, December, and January. Donations collected do not leave Hernando County and services impacted range from early education all the way to crisis prevention. United Way continues to raise awareness for local initiatives that fall under health, education, and financial stability. Although this residential effort has a campaign goal, the driving force continues to be the number of lives impacted by individual contributions. With United Way serving over 39,000 lives last year alone, they are determined to help those who need them the most. Are you ready to be a part of positive change?

United Way is making it simple to give by accepting your dollar through PayPal, Venmo, Credit Card, Cash, or Check. Make checks payable to United Way of Hernando County and mail to 4028 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606.
