Due to the uncertainty surrounding the spread of COVID-19, all Hernando County VITA locations (Spring Hill Library, Jerome Brown Community Center, and the UW of Hernando office) are CLOSED for the remainder of the Tax Season.

The health and safety of our community is a priority of United Way of Hernando County. United Way has postponed making this difficult decision over the past week due to the hundreds of families that rely of this program every year, but we are doing this to protect our most vulnerable. Your United Way is working closely with the IRS as well as Hernando County’s Emergency Management during this uncertain time. It will be at the discretion of the IRS, Hernando VITA locations, as well as the availability of VITA Volunteers if we are to re-open at a later date to accommodate these households.
