“Stamp Out Hunger” National Food Drive

"Stamp Out Hunger" National Food Drive - 2024

  • On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) of Hernando County will collect for the world’s largest one-day food drive.

  • United Way is proud to support Hernando County’s Postal Food Drive and the NALC’s efforts to “Stamp Out Hunger.” This effort is a tremendous example of the importance of working with organized labor to advance the common good in communities throughout the United States.

  • Residents are urged to participate in this annual event. Any bag may be filled with non-perishable items and canned goods such as soup, vegetables, pasta, rice, etc. and left next to the mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 11th. Food items should not be in non-breakable containers, such as boxes.

  • The Letter Carriers will collect filled bags and distribute to local food pantries and agencies.
