HERNANDO EFSP AGENCY WORKSHOP FOR PHASE 42

The Hernando County Emergency Food & Shelter Program (ESFP) Local Board is charged with the appropriate distribution of funds by Congress to help expand the capacity for programs to provide food, shelter, and emergency assistance services within Hernando County. In preparation of the Phase 42 release, the Hernando EFSP Local Board has announced they will be conducting an educational & mandatory virtual workshop for agencies interested in applying for EFSP and submitting an application request.

A virtual walk-thru, instructions & guidance will be available for potential applicants on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 @ 10:00 AM via Zoom.

Eligible Applicants Must:

Þ Be a 501(c)3 non-profit agency serving Hernando

Þ Have at least a minimum of one year of operations, providing services in the field applying for

Þ Have the ability to maintain and submit
comprehensive reports with supporting backup
documentation (including backdated reports)

Þ Have the ability to operate on a reimbursable basis

Þ Have a reliable accounting system

Þ Practice non-discrimination

Þ Service areas will include SERVED MEALS, OTHER FOOD, MASS SHELTER, OTHER SHELTER, RENT/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE, UTILITY ASSISTANCE

 This Workshop is to:

Þ Help guide organizations interested in funding

Þ Educate potential applicants on the ESFP
application process

Þ Provide guidance on how to properly record &
report all needed documentation

Þ Help applicants understand all state and local
requirements
