WANTED: Greeters, Tax Preparers, and Quality Review Volunteers

United Way of Hernando County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

Spring Hill, FL – (September 12, 2016) – United Way of Hernando County's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program partners with the IRS to provide free tax preparation to residents. United Way is looking for dedicated volunteers to help provide this free federal tax service for individuals with annual household incomes of $65,000 or less. All volunteers will be trained and certified by the IRS.

Greeters, tax preparers, and quality review volunteers are needed as well as bilingual individuals to help out during tax season, which runs January through April. Interested Volunteers will have the opportunity to attend a VITA Volunteer Meet & Greet where you will be able to learn more about volunteer duties and see if this is a great fit for you!

There will be VITA training classes held on December 9th, 12th, & 13th at PHSC Spring Hill Campus – 450 Beverly Ct. Spring Hill, FL 34606. (Online training is also available.) Volunteer hours will be coordinated for the upcoming 2017 tax season.
