Results are in for Cinema for a Cause

CINEMA FOR A CAUSE CHARITY EVENT RESULTS ANNOUNCED

Georgia Theatre Company Announces the results of the 10th Annual Cinema for a Cause (formerly “Film & Food for a Cause”) charity event that raised money for local charity groups in their local communities

St. Simons Island, GA., October 22, 2013Georgia Theatre Company is proud to announce the results of their 10th Annual Cinema for a Cause (formerly “Film & Food for a Cause”) event held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at all thirty-two of their theatre locations throughout Georgia and including three locations participating for the first time this year in Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia.

For the first time in FL on September 22, Beacon Stadium Cinemas 10 participated in Cinema for a Cause which contributed 100% of all admission tickets, concession purchases, and extra donation bowl money to the chosen charity groups. United Way of Hernando County and the Building a Foundation Group were recipients of one-half of the proceeds from event day which totaled $4,907.58.

Georgia Theatre Company thanks everyone who came out to the movies on event day and for their generosity in helping to make this day special for the deserving charities in our local area!
